I ran across an Elevating Generation blog post today with a reminder of a song I love.

Songs that make us reevaluate our thinking are often the ones we fall in love with. I’ve been a big fan of the Michael Gungor Band song White Man for awhile now. The song basically breaks every assumption and stereotype you could ever imagine placing upon God, especially for people who have been under the subtle influence that Republicans are the only good Christians and that Jesus was white.

How do we build up these presupposed images of our own personally created god in our minds? It seems like the true God gets a bad reputation much of the time because of the stupid things Christians will do in his name. Thankfully, God is not a man!
